Welcome to the world of Luna e Stelle!
Luna e Stelle is a sustainable luxury fashion house that uniquely combines artisanal craftsmanship with eco-conscious practices through two distinct lines: Luna e Stelle Alchemy and Luna e Stelle Atelier. Founded by Blue Cobalt, whose journey includes working alongside Grace Coddington for a short period at Vogue in the early '90s, the brand represents a revolutionary approach to luxury fashion that prioritizes both environmental responsibility and artistic expression.
Luna e Stelle Alchemy transforms carefully curated vintage garments through innovative techniques, including signature ice-dyeing processes that create unrepeatable, watercolor-like patterns. Each piece undergoes a meticulous renewal process, emerging as a one-of-a-kind creation that honors its past while embracing a sustainable future.
Luna e Stelle Atelier offers demi-couture and bespoke pieces crafted from antique textiles, vintage materials, and deadstock luxury fabrics. This line represents the pinnacle of sustainable luxury, where historical craftsmanship meets contemporary design sensibility.
The brand's aesthetic draws inspiration from Victorian secretΒ magical societies, celestial themes, and ceremonial magic, creating an otherworldly experience that transcends traditional fashion boundaries. Each garment tells a story of transformation β from the hand-dyeing process that creates unique patterns to the careful reconstruction that gives new life to forgotten materials.
Blue Cobalt's vision for Luna e Stelle emerged from a deep commitment to sustainability and a lifetime of artistic exploration. Taught machine sewing at age three by their mother on their grandmother's machine (which is still used in the atelier today for sewing thicker fabrics), and hand sewing a few years later byΒ their grandmother, Blue brings decades of experience in fashion, design, and creative industries to the brand.
In the face of fashion's environmental impact, Luna e Stelle stands as a testament to the possibility of creating luxury fashion that honors both artistic vision and ecological responsibility. Each piece is more than clothing β it's a statement about the future of fashion, where sustainability and luxury coexist in perfect harmony.
The brand's commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials to embrace size inclusivity and gender-fluid design, ensuring that conscious luxury is accessible to diverse body types and gender expressions. This approach has garnered attention from fashion insiders and conscious consumers alike, who appreciate the brand's unique position at the intersection of sustainability, artistry, and inclusivity.
Luna e Stelle's innovative approach to sustainable luxury fashion makes it an ideal feature for gift guides and editorial coverage, offering readers a fresh perspective on conscious consumption without compromising on style or sophistication.
Our Mission
Luna e Stelle exists to revolutionize luxury fashion through the alchemy of sustainability and artisanal craftsmanship, transforming forgotten textiles into timeless treasures while preserving traditional techniques for future generations. Through innovative processes like our signature ice-dyeing, we demonstrate that true luxury lies not in excess, but in the thoughtful transformation of what already exists. Our commitment to size and gender inclusive design ensures that conscious luxury is accessible to all, as we envision a future where sustainable fashion leads the way in environmental stewardship, and each garment tells a story of transformation under the light of the moon and stars.

Blue's Bio
Blue Cobalt is the founder and creative director of Luna e Stelle, bringing a lifetime of fashion and design expertise to sustainable luxury fashion. Their journey began at age three on their mother's lap, taught to sew on their grandmother's machine β the same machine still used in the Luna e Stelle atelier today for sewing thicker fabrics.
In the early '90s, Blue worked alongside legendary creative director Grace Coddington at Vogue, an experience that profoundly influenced their understanding of fashion as an art form. This foundation in high fashion, combined with their background in environmental education and community-focused initiatives, led to a unique vision: transforming luxury fashion through sustainability and artisanal craftsmanship.
A non-binary, neurodivergent multipotentialite, Blue's diverse talents span clothing design, marketing, storytelling, photography, graphic design, website development, filmmaking, music, and more. This multifaceted creativity infuses Luna e Stelle with an innovative approach to sustainable luxury, where each piece becomes a work of art with its own story.
Drawing inspiration from Victorian secret magical societies and celestial themes, Blue has developed signature techniques like ice-dyeing, creating unrepeatable patterns that make each Luna e Stelle piece unique. Their commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials to embrace size and gender inclusive design, ensuring conscious luxury is accessible to all.
Currently based in Texas, Blue dreams of expanding Luna e Stelle's atelier to Italy, where they plan to continue revolutionizing sustainable luxury fashion while honoring their Italian heritage β their 11th great-grandfather was Antonio Bassano, a renowned musician in the 1600s who played in the Royal Court of England.
